SLSGB Annual General Meeting
All members are invited to attend a presentation of Surf Life Saving GB’s Business Plan and progress to date at 2pm Sunday 20th May 2012.
Following which members will be invited to stay for the Annual General Meeting at 3pm and to vote on a number of resolutions.
Notice is hereby given that an Annual General Meeting of Surf Life Saving Great Britain Limited Company will be held at The Exeter Golf and Country Club, Wear House, Countess Wear, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7AE on Sunday 20th May 2012 at 15:00 to transact the following business:
RESOLUTIONS
1. To approve the minutes of the Eighteenth Annual General Meeting of the Company
2. To receive and consider the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2011 together with the report of the directors and auditors of the Company
3. To re-appoint the Auditors for the coming year until the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting and to authorise the directors to determine their remuneration
4. To appoint Danny Bryant as the Lifesaving Commissioner
5. To appoint Diane Green as the Regional Commissioner

Collection outside Marks & Spencers for Club Funds
We have been given permission to organise a collection for Club Funds outside Marks & Spencers in Hayle on Sat 2 June.
Gaynor is very kindly organising this and will need people to go on a rota – more details to follow

Hayle Diamond Jubilee Event – Copperhouse Pool
We have been invited to provide a life saving demo on Copperhouse Pool for Hayle’s Diamond Jubilee Event on Sun 3 June.
We will also be organising a tombola stall to raise money for Club funds – donations of prizes required please.
The event will start at 12 noon and finish at 4.30pm

Vicko’s Surf Carnival 2012
VICKO’S SURF CARNIVAL 2012! Sunday 10 June 2012 10am-4pm
It is that time again when Bude SLSC is holding the fun Vicko’s Surf Carnival! A fun, fast paced event for all ages. It would be great to welcome you to our club for a bit of fun competition, which is perfect for building confidence and a spot of afternoon tea.
We only have three categories for male and female
- Juniors 12-15
- Seniors 16-35
- Masters 35+
Events start at 10am sharp, so bacon butties, tea and coffee will be available for registration from 9.30am!
It is free entry and you can mix and match teams with other clubs. All in the spirit of Surf Life Saving! We know that everyone is always busy and this adds to the schedule, but look at it as a training session! We hope you will come along. We have even done a poster for you to put up!

The Clubhouse is being used on the evening of Tues 12 June by Hayle Runners as they are holding a 5km beach run.
